Mystery Arch

This wonderful double arch sits well hidden near the top of the San Rafael Reef into a bowl. The main opening has 160 feet wide (48.5 meters). The trip to the arch can be only attempt by experienced hiker. Indeed, it is a long and strenous climb with some exposure spot. Visitors should have abilities on hand free climb and route finding. The arch was discovered by air in the seventies but its location was first reported in 1995 by two enthousiastic arch hunters of Moab, Steve Frederick and Chris Moore.
