Pont Naturel du Rieussec (France)
This small natural bridge about 2.2 meters span is located in Rieussec creek (Tributary of Ardèche River) near the village of Salavas in Ardèche department of France. This creek is well-know in this area for his succession of numerous potholes (dry most of the year) along the canyon. Visitor can hike down the creek using handline on place and bypassed major dryfalls. IGN topographic map Top 25 number 2939 west Gorge de l'Ardeche (pleat B3).
A second natural bridge is located 200 meters down canyon into a narrow passage. The opening has an estimated span of 2 meters. The canyon of Rieussec is dry most of the time. It flow only after a long rainy period. The second photo show the natural bridge at normal flow.
